founded in 1884 by Miss Lila
Pickhurdt. Augustana
is a valuable
resource that has grown and developed with its community and works to meet the health care needs of this remarkable mix of humanity. It is presently a 368-bed facility averaging 10,000 admissions, 5,900 operations and 800 deliveries annually. Its School of Nursing, one of the first established by a hospital in America, has graduated over 2,600 nurses in its 78 years of existence.
